Hot Cocoa Tea
A Jessica Siegel Recipe

ast month in my Nutrition Notes newsletter, I reported that cocoa can help relieve diarrhea. Chamomile tea can also help to soothe the stomach. This is a healthful medicinal drink that tastes a heck of a lot better than Pepto Bismol! I left out the milk, since it is not recommended for an upset stomach and made sure that the green tea was decaffeinated, since caffeine stimulates the digestive tract. Don't panic when you see the saturated fat content since the saturated fat in cocoa is in the form of stearic acid, which doesn't raise cholesterol. If you like tea and you like hot cocoa, you don't need to have an upset tummy to enjoy this tasty beverage.
