Salsa in a Snap
This is a quick and easy salsa to throw together for a party or anytime. You can make it hotter by adding more jalepeño peppers.
Serves: 15 (Serving Size: ¼ cup)
Ingredients:
- 14.5 oz. can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
- 8 oz. can no-salt added tomato sauce
- 7 oz. can diced Ortega green chiles
- 1½ Tbsps. diced Ortega jalepeño peppers
- 3 green onions, chopped, including green part
- ¾ cup fresh cilantro, stemmed and chopped
- Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
- Water
Instructions:
- Chop stewed tomatoes, reserving juices.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Add water to desired consistency.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
