Tomato Dippers, A Kid-Friendly Snack Solution
A Jessica Siegel & Kid-Friendly Recipe
Serves 1 or many
You will need:
- o A colander
- a paper towel
- colored plastic toothpicks
- a large round dinner plate
Ingredients:
- Del Cabo organic cherry tomatoes
- Cedar Lane hummus dip
Instructions:
Pick six cherry tomatoes out of the basket. Place them in the colander and rinse them under cold water. Dry the tomatoes off with a paper towel and pull off any green stems.
Choose six different colored toothpicks. Find the spot on the tomato where the stem used to be and poke the toothpick in so the tip gets into the middle of the tomato but doesn't come out the other end. Put toothpicks in all of the tomatoes.
Open the hummus and put the container in the middle of a big round plate. Arrange the tomatoes all around the hummus, with the toothpick ends over the edge of the plate. Eat your snack by holding the end of the toothpick and dipping the tomato into the hummus.
