Ingredients:
Apple Filling:
- 8 cups apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 cup water
Oatmeal Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1/4 cup instant nonfat dried milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 cup butter or margarine
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a 9" x 13" baking dish, combine apples, lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Pour water over mixture.
- In a separate bowl, prepare Oatmeal Topping by mixing ingredients together.
- Pour Oatmeal Topping over fruit mixture in large lumps.
- Bake about 50 minutes until topping is golden brown.
