Here are our top four favorite spring fruits, in season before you know it:

Strawberries are one of the most iconic spring fruits, and April through June is the peak season for the sweetest, juiciest berries you can imagine. Strawberries are packed with antioxidants and vitamins and are a top source of potassium as well. You can enjoy strawberries in both sweet and savory dishes: baked into a fruit pie, mixed into a salad, or even as a crostini topping with a drizzle of balsamic.

Rhubarb may not technically be a fruit, but the perfectly sweet and sour flavor of these bright red stalks is just too delicious to leave off a list of our favorite spring fruits. The limited harvest season (April through June) means that you should snag yourself a batch while you can. Known for naturally balancing blood sugars, rhubarb can be perfectly baked into a classic pie or tart.

Honeydew melon is a fruit that, surprisingly, many people skip over in the produce section. This sweet melon is rich in fiber and Vitamin C and is an excellent regulator of blood pressure as well. In addition to its health benefits, honeydew has a delicious, versatile melon flavor that can be enjoyed in many different dishes. Make a simple frozen sorbet, add the melon to a spring fruit salad, or wrap it with prosciutto for a gourmet hors d’oeuvre.

Mangoes are a tasty tropical fruit with a long list of positive health benefits, including high levels of antioxidants, excellent digestion support, and an abundance of important minerals and vitamins. The sweet and juicy flavor is incomparable to any other fruit, with spring being a peak season for this bright yellow fruit. Mango is delicious as an ingredient in both sweet and savory dishes, including smoothies or as a salsa topping for grilled fish.
