Copycat Dodger Dog

The name says it all — this is a classic ballpark hotdog! One taste and you can almost hear the crowd cheering.

Just like the original Dodger Dog, our copycat has more dog than bun, so you get that salty, smoky hot dog flavor in every bite. And the toppings — ketchup, mustard, relish and onions — are the definition of classic. This is the Platonic ideal of a late-summer hotdog.

But don’t be afraid to mess with perfection — you can add or subtract any toppings you want. Chopped jalapeños would make an excellent addition, so would some crumbled bacon. Or how about a scoop of extra cheesy mac & cheese? Whether it can be called a true copycat Dodger dog at that point is an open question, but it’ll always be called delicious.
