Honey Lavender Cold-Brew Latte

We love our lattes, and on a perfect day, we’ll drink two. Our morning latte is straightforward and business-like: just coffee and milk, please. It’s all about the ritual and waking up — the first sip is like a tonic, both soothing and invigorating. The afternoon latte is something else altogether. It’s a luxurious treat, a pause in the day to enjoy something simple and good. It’s also the creamy, sweet kick in the pants that gets us through the more challenging cases of post-lunch doldrums.

This honey lavender cold brew iced latte is just such a treat. It’s made with super smooth Chameleon Coffee cold-brew concentrate. It’s rich to begin with, but once it’s swirled through with creamy almond milk and a lovely honey lavender simple syrup, all its chocolate and caramel notes come out. The lavender and honey are perfectly subtle — just a hint every sip or so to remind you that this is an elegant afternoon latte.

It’s also an easy one. The simple syrup is make-ahead and the cold brew is bottled, so you can make yourself a gourmet latte in just a few minutes. Take the ingredients to work and treat yo’ self! It’s also fantastic on the weekends — we like to pour one as we’re settling into the deck chair with a novel or the newspaper. Simple pleasures!
