Mexican Hot Chocolate



Mexican Hot Chocolate

Serves: 2


2 cups Horizon Organic nonfat milk
2 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoons Scharffen Berger unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ounce Scharffen Berger 70 cacao bittersweet chocolate coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon Hain Organic sugar or to taste


Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly to melt the chocolate.

When chocolate is melted, carefully remove the cinnamon sticks. Use a hand mixer, a blender, or a whisk to beat the hot chocolate until it is frothy. Serve immediately.
