Sauteed Baby Kale with Apples



Sauteed Baby Kale with Apples

Serves: 3


1/2 large organic Fuji apple with skin on
1 tablespoon Napa Valley organic olive oil
2 cloves Melissas organic garlic minced
2 5 ounce packages Earthbound Farm organic mixed baby kales rinsed but not dried
1/8 teaspoon Le Saunier de Camargue fleur de sel sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Dice apple into 1/3 inch cubes. Set aside while you cook the kale.

Heat the oil over medium heat in a large pot with a lid. Add the garlic and cook one minute. Add the kale and toss to coat with the oil and garlic. Cover and cook until the kale is just wilted, bright green and stems have softened, about two to three minutes. Remove from heat, add apple pieces and season with salt and pepper. Mix well to evenly distribute apple and seasonings.
