Whether he’s curating fresh seafood selections, crafting holiday menus, or sharing behind-the-scenes kitchen secrets, Chef Tony’s passion for food shines through. His approachable style and expert tips make gourmet cooking feel doable and delicious for everyone.
Chef Tony brings a rare blend of business acumen and culinary artistry to the table. With a BA in Business Economics from UC Riverside and an AS in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Orange County, he combines strategic thinking with a passion for flavor.
Tony’s journey with Gelson’s spans over eight years, starting as an Assistant Kitchen Manager at the Ranch Mission Viejo store opening and progressing through the ranks to become Kitchen Manager, Department Manager, and ultimately earning his current role as Corporate Executive Chef.
Before Gelson’s, Tony honed his craft at The Honda Center, where he curated menus for the Suites Catering program, ran the Jack Daniels Club restaurant, and designed dynamic buffet menus. He also gained valuable experience with the Patina Group, working both front and back of house to master the art of hospitality.
Today, Chef Tony channels his expertise to create exceptional culinary experiences for Gelson’s customers, blending creativity, precision, and a deep love of food. Follow along and get inspired by his seasonal spotlights.
