Who is Kimono Mom?

Moe, host of “Kimono Mom’s Kitchen” and founder of Kimono Mom, is a former Geisha who shares her passion for authentic Japanese home cooking with millions worldwide. Inspired by childhood memories of cooking with her mother and grandmother, Moe began her journey as a Maiko and later Geiko in Kyoto before launching her YouTube channel. Today, she brings the flavors of Japan to kitchens everywhere with easy-to-follow recipes and her signature Umami Sauce, making wholesome meals simple for everyone.
