California Avocado and Citrus Caprese

This tasty salad is full of goodness from the Golden State, including tangy-sweet Ojai Pixies and creamy avocados and mozzarella. Crunchy pistachios and a drizzle of California EVOO is all it needs to get to the table.

California Avocado and Citrus Caprese

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 California avocado, sliced
8 oz fresh Real California Mozzarella cheese, sliced
3 pieces fresh California citrus (blood oranges, Ojai Pixie tangerines, cara caras), peeled and segmented or supremed
1/4 cup chopped California pistachios, toasted
3 TBSP California Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tsp flaky sea salt

Directions

On a large plate or small serving platter, layer the sliced avocado, Mozzarella, and citrus. Top with toasted pistachios, then drizzle with olive oil, and finish with the flaky sea salt!
